First bands on our festivalDJ ZIGZAGhttp://www.myspace.com/deejayzigzagEn.dru (aka Ondřej Havlík)
In 2007 Ondřej Havlík graduated in the field of acting from the Faculty of Theatre of the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. He is the twofold champion in beatbox in the Czech Republic, winner of the European competition 1st Marathón beatbox battle, and champion of the Czech Republic and vice champion of the world together with the Beatburger band group in the team beatbox category.
En.dru conducts his one-man-jam show which, other than beatbox-vocal improvisation, also compiles of musical improvisation with the use of the so-called loopstation. En.dru records audio tracks created only with his own voice and mouth, that is without any electronic effects or musical instruments, directly in front of the crowd. He combines these tracks into various loops with the help of his loop station. In this way a unique „acappella“ improvisation of different musical styles such as electro, hip-hop, acid jazz, funky, ethnic and more, is created right before the eyes and ears of the viewers. The basis of all this is beatbox rhythms, vocals, beatbox effects, imitations of musical instruments and rap. So there's defanitley a reason to look forward to this presentation!

YouTubeGREEN SMATROLL
The group Green Smatroll formed in the course of 2002. At first it was a small project called Jam Session but over time the band, which is comprised of a keyboardist, guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer, trumpeter, tenor saxophonist and alto saxophonist, began to concentrate on SKA. The band was a big success in the Czech Republic and abroad which is testified by the fact that they appeared on stage next to musical giants of the SKA international scene such as New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Yellow Umbrella, Fast Food and many more. They are also regular participants of the festivals Skankin Pragga, Mighty Sounds, Reggae Ethnic Session and Sázava Fest. In 2004 their first album Green Perception (2004) was released which was influenced by bands such as Skatalites, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble or Yellow Umbrella in the same way as many of the album's musical styles were influenced by Balkan and Arabian motives and klezmer music only to give some examples. Their second album called So This Night (2006) was released in 2006 and christened in their native band club Klub 007 Strahov on June 22nd 2006. In April of this year the band won a 2009 Angel award for Album of the Year in the Ska & Reggae genre for their album Rude Jazz (2009). At the present time the band plays in an eight-member setup - Kaňour (pianist, singer), André (guitarist), Skřeťoch (trumpeter), Medvěd (drummer), Pan Štrapapa (T-Bone player, vocalist), Jenda (bass T-Bone player), Kristýna (bass guitarist) and Kůča (saxophonist).

www.jamchestra.czMARADONA JAZZThe group Maradona Jazz originated in 2001 on the impulse of DJ-e, also known under the nickname Mucho. He came up with the idea of combining classic record playing with live instrumental music to accompany it. Mucho's Latin American production was joined by Hraboš with his alleged cry and Jarda Stuchlý on drums. DJ Baltazar and saxophonist Šimon Ornest were added to the trio in 2002.
Mardona Jazz got together in the Prague club Mecca where the guys played at events known as the Saladas. After large success they began to circle dance festivals as well, such as the Trutnov Open Air Festival, the Global Connection and Creamfield (where they allegedly lured off a large part of Massive Attack fans; information that is substantially unconfirmed and unprovable).
Mardona Jazz freely improvises in the chill-out music style on latin-american, ethnic and house themes. They are also not against using musical talents of anyone from their enthusiastic listeners. The only condition is having the same kind of sense of humor as Maradona Jazz does.

YouTubeWWW
The band WWW originated in the early 90's in Prague. The name is an english abbreviation for „We Want World“ and yet no one could have guessed that they their name would be one day known all over the world as a synonym to the internet.
WWW was the first hip-hop and rap group in the Czech Republic, and besides music, they have also devoted themselves to graffiti, breakdance and the turntable scene. In the last few years the band has distanced itself from classic rap music, and through the usage of live instruments, they have profiled themselves as a post hip-hop big-band. After 1998, when WWW released it's songs on independent compilations, they began to cooperate with bigger recording companies. The band was beginning to make a name for itself in the mainstream and it's members wanted to return to a artistically independent career. WWW broke up, and got back together again in 2006 with the debut album Neurobeat. Other albums of WWW are Tanec sekyr and the compilation album Revolver Revue.
WWW's music is based on elements of hip hop using real recorded industrial samples or digitally generated sounds. WWW combines principles of hip-hop, industrial and electronic music. In the Czech Republic, they are sometimes compared to the Beastie Boys, Massive Attack, NIN and the Young Gods.
