The group Pub Animals, originating from Český Krumlov, won the prestigious award Anděl 2010 for their début album Safar-I. They also received the genre award for best album of 2010 in the category of ska/reggae at the Academy of popular music in Prague. In 2010 they also took part in one of the largest European reggae and ska festivals, the Rototom Sunsplash 2010. They intensively perform concerts all over the Czech Republic with groups such as Fast Food Orchestra, United Flavour and Sto zvířat.

Airfare is a group of four young independent musicians whose single, Sorry Baby, became the most listened to radio song of 2008 in the Czech Republic. It also became a top hit in music charts in Italie, Russia and Slovakia. It was nominated for single of the year at the music awards of musical academy- Anděl. The group also won an award from the music channel Óčko - find of the year. Airfare has performed at around 150 concerts in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. (Collective concerts with world renowned bands such as The Rasmus, Block Party and Tokio Hotel).

Escape 2 the jungle

The rock band Escape 2 The Jungle from the South Bohemian town Milevsko was founded in 2010. At the core of most of their songs are ordinary stories playing out in an extraordinary world. This collage reflecting influences of the Irish U2, the British Subways and the American Linkin Park bring promise of an interesting musical journey, one of which you can join as well.

Gerhard Gruber

Renowned Austrian pianist and composer who specializes in musically accompanying silent films. During the festival he will accompany the classical German film „Pandora’s box“ (Die Büchse der Pandora, 1929) by G.W. Pabsta with his music. He became an accompanist by chance when he was offered the opportunity to accompany one of Chaplin’s grotesques.
Since 1983 Gerhard Gruber has been working and performing as a composer and musician for theater. The basis of his work is improvisation, which he regards as the best way to create a new kind of dialogue between the events on screen, his music and the public. Thanks to this method his performance is original every time. Gerhard Gruber is always keen on returning to his work with film again and again so he can pass on these emotions to his audience.
Road Side Mary

The members of the band Road Side Mary have been perennial stars for a couple of years now at club scenes primarily in Prague, even though they have performed at a number of festivals outside the city. Their style is influenced by British indie rock mixed with modern pop rock. The short distinct riffs of two electric guitars, drums that will move you and a seasoning of electronic samples are characteristic for the sound of Road Side Mary. The concert in Písek will be a turning point for the band because after-wards they will be performing in a different assemblage. All of this guarantees a high-performance musical experience.
