The Status of the 11th International Student Film Festival in Písek 2011

1. The objective of the festival is to arrange a meeting of young film-makers, to introduce the work of local and international film schools and to award films chosen for the competition by the international (usually 5 member) jury.

2. The festival is organized by The Independent Film College in Písek and The Film Academy of Miroslav Ondříček in Písek in cooperation with the city of Písek.

3. The festival takes place from 6th till 9th October 2011 in Písek.
4. You can register played films, documents or animated films in the format of 16 and 35 mm or DV, DVcam or DVD in the length of up to 30 minutes made by students from secondary schools, colleges or universities with the specialization in audio - visual work.

5. Only films made in the year 2010 and 2011 which have not yet been submitted to our festival can be registered.

6. Films along with a filled –in application (on line on www.filmfestpisek.cz/en), CD with a dialogue list in English language, annotation in English language and photos from the films must be delivered for a preliminary selection to festival organizers by 30th June 2011 to this address:

Please send your films on DVD for selection. We do not return these copies.

7. The head organizers have the right to decide on including a film in the international competition.

8. The international competition will award the best film the main festival prize: Grand Prix - Václav Krška award, 50 000 CZK which is awarded by the city of Písek and other awards (see enclosed)

9. In the case that a film is included in the competition, the organizers will cover the accommodation costs of two members of the film crew in the duration of the festival. All others interested in participation in the festival will cover their own accommodation expenses.
