Discussion with Didier Trarieux-Lumière

French producer, script-writer and direct descendent of „the fathers of founders“ of world cinematography will be the main player in the discussion with an exclusive presentation about the less known invention by the Lumiere brothers – a system of colored photography called Autochrome. We can also look forward to some curiosities from the family life of the biggest personalities in world cinematography.

Workshop in Media education with PhDr. et ThDr. Radek Mezulánik, Ph.D.

Place: 7.10.2010, 11:00 – Divadelní kavárna

University professor, head of the Social and media communication department at the Jan Amos Komensky University in Prague and will also lead a seminar in the Methodology of media education in elementary schools and high schools.
Although there has been much effort and activity to accomplish otherwise, media education is still disregarded in Czech schools. How do we change this current level of media literacy, what are we suppose to imagine under such a term, how does it work in schools abroad – these are just some of the questions that this workshop will be dealing with.

Workshop with Petr Lusk

Place: 8.10.2010, 16:00 – Kavárna U Vavřiny

A photographer who originally comes from Písek who has exceeded the boundaries of our republic and has been coming back with photographs from the world’s largest car rallies (Paris-Dakar) for a number of years. He has also been taking pictures for the factory team Skoda motorsport for four years now. Besides through his photography, he also makes a living through his business in road transport.
In his seminar he will be focusing on Art and reportage photography.

Discussion with producer Jan Nejedlý

Place: 9. 10., 16:30 - 18:00, CAFÉ U VAVŘINY

Jan Nejedlý is a successful Czech producer who stood behind films such as Veni, vidi, vici (2009), The Football eleven (Fotbalová jedenáctka, 2010), Experti (2006) and Prachy dělaj člověka (2006). Visitors of our festival can participate in his discussion where they can familiarize themselves with the profession of a producer.
