MFSF Písek 2017During its 16 years of existence, our festival has seen great development and has earnt acclaim on the local and international cultural scenes. Prior to this year, the event was organized entirely by students of the Film schools in Písek, under my guidance. This year, for the 17th festival, we have joined forces with Písek’s Center for Culture, so the event is sure to prove a little different. Our aim continues to ensure the selection of the most interesting films from all over the world (with over 400 submissions from 52 countries). As in previous years, the opening and closing ceremonies will be provided by the Film schools' students, while the festival’s organization and technical implementation, promotion and accompanying program will be provided by the Center for Culture in Písek. We believe that this collaboration will take the festival one step further.
Come along and immerse yourself in the world of novice filmmakers. The town of Písek awaits you, and its magic will shortly become your reality.
